Most of the time having someone to talk to in confidence about your problem and being listened to in a supportive and non judgemental way can help in many ways.
The aims of counselling is to talk through your troubles in confidence, to understand things from your point of view, help to reach a clearer understanding and explore resources so that you can deal with difficult situations. Sometimes it’s difficult to say what’s on your mind. Talking to a therapist can help you cope with difficulty and make positive change.
About Counselling
Counselling involves a confidential relationship between two people who do not otherwise know each other and who meet for the purpose of one of them seeking professional help and support from the other.
The aim is to explore the difficulties that have led a person to look for help and to build a good working relationship based on trust and commitment to the process of the unfolding work.
In order to get the most out of the therapy it is best to ensure the type of counselling is suited for your needs. This starts by choosing to visit the type of therapist who is best skilled in the area you most need to focus on. For instance, a psychotherapist is the ideal person to help you deal with deep-seated problems and issues, whilst an addictions counsellor will help you understand dependency issues.
Unhelpful or repetitive patterns of consciously or unconsciously determined ways of relating or behaviour can be identified and explored, with a counsellor or psychotherapist who will have an empathic but also an objective view.

Are you suffering from Stress and Anxiety? Do you sometimes feel troubled by a problem that seems to be inside of you, but outside of your control? Is there something that you can’t do or find difficult and wish you could do more easily? Is there something you want to change for the better?
Everyone has problems and I believe everyone has resources. Counselling is a process of identifying those resources to better cope and achieve greater well-being.
Counselling provides a place where you are listened to, where there is confidentiality, where the hurly-burly, tensions and distractions of life can be put aside and the issues of your life considered in peace, safety and structure.
The problems or difficulties that prompt people to seek help are various.

Anxiety
Angry feelings
Grief following a bereavement
